Citrus County is a beautiful area with crystal lakes and gentle rolling hills and miles of coastline. Citrus County rates very high for being a great retreat that takes you away from the regular hectic pace of everyday living. Citrus County is located just a couple of hours from Tampa and St. Petersburg. Also there is Disney World, Busch Gardens, MGM Universal Studios and Sea World. The Withlacoochee River winds along the north and east side of the area and you can enjoy fishing, swimming and a number of other water sports there! The Crystal or Homosassa Rivers are spring fed waters and to the west is the Gulf of Mexico and miles of beaches.
